Designing cleaner and more efficient transport
We all like to get from one place to another quickly and safely; we want the shelves in our shops to be well-stocked and expect to be able to take trips away for holidays or work. You just need to look at the traffic jams on our city streets at rush hour to get an idea of what this means in practice.
The number of kilometres we, as passengers, travel is predicted to double over the next 40 years. When it comes to air travel, that number will grow twice as fast.
We need transport for our societies to grow and develop but our way of going about it at the moment is causing very serious problems when it comes to pollution, congestion and safety. What’s the solution?
