Dieticians study dietetics and nutrition and offer practical advice on health and diet, based on their scientific know-how of nutrition.

As a dietician, you would be responsible for:

  • Calculating patients' nutritional requirements based on their blood chemistry, temperature, stress and mobility, and advising them on an optimum diet;
  • Analysing the nutritional content of food;
  • Conducting dietetics-related research, for example, on the effects of diet on cancer treatment or the impact of health policies on behavioural change.

Your work would:

  • Help to improve the diet, health and well-being of the population.
