Immunologists study and analyse the role and composition of the immune system. They investigate immune disorders linked to diseases such as asthma and diabetes (Type I) and diseases such as Leukaemia.
As an immunologist, you could:

Investigate immune system malfunctions that cause autoimmune diseases, hypersensitivities, immune deficiency and transplant rejection;

Treat problems associated with allergies and immune system malfunctions, particularly those occurring in children.
